Founded in 2014 by our parent nonprofit Cracked Pots, ReClaim It is a creative reuse store with a mission to keep materials from going to the landfill & return them to the community.

We believe that what’s discarded often still holds value & creative potential. From reclaimed wood & vintage tools to quirky home goods, textiles & art supplies, our colorful, ever-changing inventory is perfect for makers, DIYers, artists & treasure hunters.

Rescuing Reusable Materials

Thanks to our partnerships with Metro (Portland’s regional government) & Recology (a resource recovery company), ReClaim It is the sole organization in Portland able to divert thousands of pounds of usable materials from the Metro Central Transfer Station every week.

Our amazing volunteer gleaners work five days a week at “the dump” to recover items that have already been tossed. By saving them from going to the landfill, we're giving these materials a second life. Each piece is brought back to our store where it’s ready to be discovered & reimagined by creative minds like yours.

By rescuing discarded materials & returning them to the community, we’re reducing waste, supporting sustainability & proving that one person’s trash can truly become another’s treasure.
